Sponsorship

please donate your unwanted foodNourishment is something everybody can achieve! It's easy, and here is how we do it. Our teams have been assembled to collect unwanted or unneeded food and provisions from our community and deliver it directly to the hungry and indigent on Skid Row. We're asking for the bare minimum.

Once each month we're going to ask our donors, (You) to donate 40 meals, but only once each month. Then our teams of over 100 volunteers will collect the donations and deliver them right to hungry people living on the streets.

The breakthrough of this concept is we're asking for food you wouldn't sell anyway. Maybe it's over-produced? Perhaps it's surplus? Maybe it expired and you simply can no longer sell it?

We're asking for your support. More than ten thousand hungry children and adults in Los Angeles live on garbage and waste. But this Christmas and beyond, you can help. But will you?

Here's what we're offering:

If you will give us food for 40 people for our launch event in the morning of Saturday, December 24, 2005, we, "THE NEEDY SMORGASBORD" T will provide you with a certificate to place in your establishment to indicate that you not only care about, but help your community.

What are 40 meals, especially at Christmas? We're one community and we need your help. It's a simple plan. You donate the food and we deliver it directly to hungry people living on the streets. Some of them haven't eaten in days or weeks. Will you help? All you have to do is call us and we will pick it up. If 40 meals are too much to ask, we'll distribute anything you will offer. The time is now!

Please help. And please call. May good things happen for you!

We accept other forms of donations!

In addition to food donations, we accept cash and other forms of merchandise that we can use to help the homeless and needy.

At our successful Christmas event, OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) donated the use of brand new tables free of charge for the event.

Others have generously donated cash:

  • Mr. & Mrs. Curtis Scott, Esq.
  • Village Jewelers in Glendale, CA

New clothes for the homeless is a great way to help. We ask that these other items such as clothing, toiletries, and shoes be new.
